Есть куча компов которые постепенно перевожу с Windows XP на Xubuntu 12.04. Железо пат.плата Asus p5ld2-vm (intel 945), проц Celeron 2.53/ram 1gb/hdd 160gb
Все компы одинаковой конфигурации. Все устанавливает и работает. И вот на одном из этих компов после установки разрешение экрана 1024х768 и все выше не дает ставить (нужно 1280х1024). Пробовал на него и Xubuntu 13.04 ставить все тоже самое.
Подскажите что делать? (на других то компах такой же конфигурации все нормально).

А что за монитор на этом компе? Он точно такое разрешение поддерживает? (ну в порядке бреда)

мониторы тоже все одинаковые Acer AL1716As (разрешение 1280x1024 (5:4))

компы полностью одинаковые (их штук 50), в Windows Xp все работало нормально.

Монитор другой подключите к этому компу, с другим кабелем.

проблема оказалась в кабеле монитора, заменил и все стало работать как нужно.
